Fw: Operation of a Needle and Syringe Program within the Alexander Maconochie Centre (AMC) From: "Brock Bryce" 24/09/2011 10:41 PM > I strongly support the introduction of a needle and syringe program within the AMC. It makes sense for the prisoners' health and for those with whom the prisoners make contact after their release. It will not endanger the prison warders despite their perceived fears in that respect. Either the 3(b) or 3(a) Model [as described in the Public Health Association report] would be satisfactory. It should not be introduced on a trial basis, it should simply be introduced permanently. Enough is already known about these programs and their benefits. It should have the full support of all concerned. > > The aforementioned report is a thoroughly researched one, exhibiting clear logic throughout, and casting a bright light into an area which has tended to lie in a dark corner of ignorance and prejudice. > > Brock Bryce > 02 6251 4462(h) > 0403 192 283(m)
